Facilities Manager (Data Center Operations)

Job summary

The role involves overseeing critical facilities management within a data center environment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety standards are met. The Facilities Manager will lead a team, manage budgets, and develop strategies for cost-effective operations.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree, trade school certification, or equivalent practical experience in a related technical field.
• 9 years of experience in critical facilities management, including team and technical management.
• Experience as a Facilities Manager or Chief Engineer in a critical facility.
• Preferred: Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage campus operational budgets and expense forecasting.
• Set strategy and oversee deployments across multiple sites.
• Collaborate with internal and external business partners to align strategies.
• Develop cost-effective operational strategies focused on total cost of ownership.
• Address traditional and emergent issues with critical thinking and innovation.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in data centers.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.

Education

• Associate's degree or equivalent in a related technical field; Master's degree preferred.

Tools

• Familiarity with HVAC systems, electrical distribution, and control monitoring systems.
