Data Governance Manager

Job summary

The role involves establishing and developing a data governance framework to ensure high-quality and well-managed data across the organization. The Data Governance Manager will work closely with IT, business stakeholders, and data stewards to integrate governance into daily operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in data governance, data management, or related fields.
• Familiarity with data governance tools such as Unity Catalog, Purview, or Collibra.
• Understanding of data quality, metadata, and data lifecycle concepts.
• Experience collaborating across business and IT environments.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to create structure and facilitate the adoption of new processes.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and implementation of the data governance model.
• Support the rollout and adoption of governance practices across various domains.
• Help implement tools for metadata management, data lineage, cataloguing, and quality assurance.
• Partner with stakeholders to enhance data ownership and accountability.
• Assist prioritized data domains in improving data quality and consistency.
• Embed governance principles in systems and integrations.
• Raise awareness of governance practices and support organizational adoption.

Education
