Analytics Engineer (E-commerce, Hybrid, Copenhagen)

Job summary

The Analytics Engineer position involves transforming complex data into actionable business models that enhance decision-making across various departments. This role requires collaboration with Finance, Product, and Tech teams to ensure data accuracy and usability.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in SQL with hands-on experience in building structured data models.
• Familiarity with modern data warehouses like Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks SQL; experience with Redshift is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Interest in semantic modeling and KPI logic; experience with Cube, dbt, or LookML is a plus.
• Curiosity about leveraging AI and LLMs for SQL support and data exploration.
• Ability to translate stakeholder inquiries into practical data solutions.
• Understanding of commercial or financial concepts such as COGS, Gross Margin, accruals, or P&L logic is beneficial.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Degree in Data Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain structured SQL models for reliable data access by downstream users.
• Collaborate with Finance to connect warehouse data with business logic and reporting.
• Create and manage Metabase dashboards and utilize tools like Python, Marimo, Claude, or MCP to address business questions.
• Contribute to the Data Dictionary to help non-technical users understand metrics and explore data confidently.
