A proactive and results-oriented Business Development Engineer is sought to identify new business opportunities and drive growth in the backflow prevention, valve, and automation market. This role requires a strong technical background and strategic sales skills to enhance market presence and revenue.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Over 3 years of experience in business development or technical sales related to backflow prevention, valves, or automation.
  • Strong understanding of industrial processes, water systems, and automation technologies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Capability to work independently and manage time effectively, with a willingness to travel.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to increase market share.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities with industrial, municipal, and commercial clients.
  • Provide technical expertise and support on backflow prevention, valves, and automation solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with engineers, contractors, distributors, and end-users.
  • Conduct product presentations, training sessions, and demonstrations for clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create customized solutions.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive activities.
  • Generate sales forecasts and performance analyses.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing technical inquiries and resolving issues.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
