About the role

Job summary

This role is for a Tax Analyst specializing in VAT, responsible for managing VAT matters globally within a finance team. It is a 12-month fixed-term position that offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in the global employment sector.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a Tax department, preferably in a big 4 environment, focusing on tax and reporting, including preparing and filing tax returns.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Management, or a related field; professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CTA, CPA) are highly valued.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit VAT Returns and related reports across various jurisdictions (EMEA/APAC).
  • Collaborate with tax advisors on VAT obligations and ensure compliance with local tax laws.
  • Reconcile VAT accounts and analyze discrepancies to maintain ERP data accuracy.
  • Manage compliance with e-invoicing regulations and assist with VAT registrations and audits.
  • Monitor changes in VAT legislation and assess their impact on the business.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for VAT reporting efficiency.

Skills

  • Strong organizational skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Experience with SAP is a plus but not mandatory.

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field; professional accounting qualifications are preferred.

Tools

  • Familiarity with ERP systems for VAT reporting and compliance.
