Director of Group Accounting & Reporting

Job summary

This role involves leading the Group Accounting & Reporting team in a biopharmaceutical company, focusing on financial reporting and compliance with IFRS and SEC regulations. The position is based in Hellerup, Denmark, and requires collaboration with global teams to enhance accounting practices.

Qualifications

• Relevant academic degree, preferably cand.merc.aud.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in audit and/or accounting.
• Strong understanding of IFRS accounting standards and experience in preparing accounting memos and annual reports.
• Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting is advantageous.
• Experience in a global group with multiple foreign entities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex issues.
• Strong writing and communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical accounting and reporting functions to support the company's Vision 2030.
• Ensure timely and compliant filing of external financial reports under IFRS.
• Maintain compliance with IFRS and SEC rules using advanced software for consolidation and reporting.
• Develop and uphold accounting policies in line with IFRS and US GAAP differences.
• Address complex accounting matters, including leases and share-based payments.
• Establish IFRS reporting procedures across the organization.
• Collaborate with Global Finance on technical accounting issues.
• Explore the use of AI and automation to enhance efficiency and quality in reporting.
