Job summary

This position involves supporting the development and maintenance of a data platform utilized by a service organization focused on sortation systems for baggage handling and parcels. The role is based in a Customer Diagnostics Center that monitors live installations to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Currently studying Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field, nearing completion of a bachelor's degree or starting a master's degree.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to engage with others.
• A curious mindset and eagerness to learn.
• Organized and detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Develop a Python service to collect data from various internal systems and load it into a database.
• Create a data transformation layer using dbt to convert raw data into structured tables.
• Build a Power BI presentation layer for generating reports and dashboards.

Skills

• Proficiency or willingness to learn Python.
• Familiarity with dbt, Power BI, Git, and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Basic command line/terminal skills.

Education

• Enrollment in a relevant degree program (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, etc.).
