Site Supervisor (Construction, Denmark)

Job summary

The role of Site Supervisor involves overseeing a specific section of a construction site, ensuring that operations are conducted safely and efficiently while adhering to quality standards and project specifications. This position requires coordination with other supervisors and assistant supervisors to meet project goals and compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities within a designated section of the construction site.
• Lead and manage Section Site Supervisors and Assistant Site Supervisors to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Monitor performance of subcontractors and workforce for compliance with contract specifications.
• Implement health, safety, environmental, and quality practices on-site.
• Maintain accurate records, including daily logs and inspection reports.
• Assist the General Site Supervisor in planning and resource allocation.
• Identify risks and escalate issues as necessary.
• Participate in site briefings and toolbox talks to communicate requirements.
• Mentor junior site staff and promote continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in supervising construction teams on medium-scale projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of construction methods and relevant codes of practice.
• Ability to make decisions under pressure and manage site activities effectively.

Education

Required:

• Trade or technical background with site supervision experience.
• IOSH or equivalent health and safety training.
• Training in temporary works, excavation safety, working at heights, scaffolding, and lifting operations.

Tools

• Familiarity with BIM strategy and construction technology is preferred.
