Construction Manager

Job summary

The role involves overseeing construction projects, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and coordinating between various disciplines on-site. The Construction Manager will monitor project schedules, manage subcontractors, and report directly to the project manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical projects within the pharmaceutical or oil and gas sectors.
• Ideally possess a mechanical engineering qualification or be a time-served fitter.
• Strong understanding of piping isometric and general arrangement drawings.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Self-motivated with a commitment to high-quality work.
• Systematic problem-solving approach.
• Strong team player with effective communication skills at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Promote and adhere to company safety and quality policies.
• Coordinate on-site activities between mechanical and other disciplines.
• Monitor and deliver project construction schedules.
• Attend on-site coordination meetings with clients.
• Manage labor and plant requirements in collaboration with site supervisors.
• Supervise project subcontractors.
• Report on all project aspects to the project manager.
• Collaborate with site engineers and safety officers to meet project goals.
• Monitor labor loading to minimize costs.
• Ensure all project variations are documented for the project QS.
