Job summary

The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing complex installation projects from handover to successful completion on-site. This role involves leading multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and maintaining effective communication with customers and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Marine Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
  • Significant experience managing installation projects on customer sites.
  • Strong technical insight combined with leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all onsite activities, including mechanical and electrical installation, commissioning, testing, and final acceptance.
  • Manage multidisciplinary site teams consisting of Site Supervisors, Commissioning Engineers, PLC Software Engineers, and WCS/WMS specialists.
  • Ensure compliance with site safety standards and quality requirements.
  • Drive planning, resource allocation, budgeting, forecasting, and schedule management for all site activities.
  • Act as the primary customer contact on site, ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Skills

  • Proactive and decisive leadership.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and navigate competing priorities.
  • Experience in warehouse automation, logistics systems, mechanical and electrical installations, and commissioning activities is advantageous.

Education

  • Degree in Marine Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.

Tools

  • Familiarity with project management tools and safety compliance frameworks.
