About the role

Job summary

The role involves working within the Obesity Pharmacology team in the Translational Pharmacology department, focusing on the development of novel therapies for obesity and related conditions. The position emphasizes translational science, bridging pre-clinical research with clinical development.

Qualifications

  • PhD in pharmacology, biology, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of postdoctoral experience preferred
  • FELASA ABD certification
  • Experience with animal models pertinent to obesity and related comorbidities such as type 2 diabetes, MAFLD/MASH, and cardiovascular disease
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and strong skills in data interpretation, reporting, and publication

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement in vivo pharmacology strategies within cross-functional project teams
  • Serve as Study Director for both in-house and CRO studies, overseeing study design, execution, data interpretation, and reporting
  • Plan and conduct mechanism-of-action studies to support target validation and candidate differentiation
  • Develop and enhance pharmacology models to aid project advancement
  • Act as a scientific authority in disease and target biology, contributing to informed project decisions
  • Clearly communicate results to stakeholders and assist in producing high-quality documentation and publications

Education
