Qualifications

  • PhD in Microbiology, Food Science/Technology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in research or applied R&D roles.
  • Strong expertise in lactic acid bacteria physiology, dairy microbiology, and cutting-edge microbiology technologies.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate molecular, biochemical, and physiological properties of microbial biosolutions, focusing on lactic acid bacteria.
  • Develop and implement emerging technologies for microbial characterization in food applications.
  • Collaborate on multiple innovation projects across R&D and other stakeholders.
  • Apply scientific insights for strain screening, culture development, and optimization of growth conditions.

Skills

  • Strong background in experimental design and data science.
  • Experience with industrial or customer-driven dairy challenges is a plus.
  • Interest in dairy starter cultures and texture development is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with mode-of-action studies of lactic acid bacteria in food matrices is beneficial.

Education

  • PhD in a relevant scientific field.

Tools

  • Proficiency in microbiology technologies and data analysis tools.
