Senior Originator (Renewable Energy, Remote)

Job summary

The Senior Originator is tasked with originating and executing valuable physical and financial energy transactions, focusing primarily on the Swedish market while also engaging with selected Nordic markets. This role is pivotal in expanding access to key counterparties and enhancing the organization’s market position through in-depth commercial insights.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in originating and executing renewable and corporate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and structured energy transactions, particularly in Sweden.
• Proven expertise across multiple Nordic markets, with a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and pricing dynamics.
• Strong commercial judgment and a deep understanding of renewable power markets.

Responsibilities

• Originate, prioritize, and negotiate various energy agreements, including generator PPAs, corporate supply agreements, and OTC energy commodity contracts.
• Build and manage a forward-looking deal pipeline aligned with regional strategies and growth targets.
• Lead and coordinate cross-regional bids, ensuring alignment with market domain.
• Optimize the existing portfolio through renegotiations and targeted risk adjustments.
• Contribute to external marketing and branding activities, including event participation and sponsorship decisions.

Skills

• Strong understanding of route-to-market operating models and energy value chains.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain senior relationships with various stakeholders, including generators and corporate customers.
• Capability to collaborate with portfolio management teams on risk and capital constraints.

Education

• Relevant degree in a related field preferred.
