Senior Mechanical Construction Project Manager

Job summary

This role involves overseeing the pre-construction, construction, commissioning, and close-out phases of a hyperscale data center project. The focus is on ensuring the successful delivery of mechanical systems and engineering to meet client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED) are advantageous.
• At least 7 years of experience in mechanical project management within construction, specifically on data center projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical pre-construction activities, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Manage mechanical construction activities, overseeing installations of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and safety protocols throughout the project.
• Provide technical guidance and manage subcontractors and vendors on-site.
• Oversee the commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring operational performance and accurate documentation.
• Act as the primary contact for mechanical-related issues between the client and construction team.
• Monitor project progress against budget and schedule, addressing any cost overruns or delays.
