Senior Mechanical Construction Project Manager

Job summary

This role involves overseeing the pre-construction, construction, commissioning, and close-out phases of a high-tech data center project, focusing on mechanical systems and engineering. The position requires a strong presence on-site to ensure project delivery meets quality standards and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED) are advantageous.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical project management, specifically in data center construction.
• Proven track record in managing large mechanical systems installations and commissioning processes.
• Experience in Owner’s Representation and collaboration with clients and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical pre-construction activities, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Manage mechanical construction activities, overseeing installations of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and safety protocols throughout the project.
• Supervise mechanical subcontractors and conduct on-site inspections.
• Oversee the commissioning process of mechanical systems and ensure accurate documentation is provided to the client.
• Act as the primary contact for mechanical-related issues between the client and construction team.
