Senior Manager (Supply Financing, Copenhagen)

Job summary

This role provides strategic leadership and oversight for supply financing tools aimed at ensuring the timely availability of essential supplies. The position focuses on deploying pre-financing interventions to address funding gaps and improve access to critical commodities, particularly in the context of vaccine supply.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.
• At least 10 years of managerial experience in financing initiatives and tools, including loan facilities and sovereign financing.
• Proven track record in transaction creation and risk assessment.
• Experience in mobilizing domestic resources and credit recovery processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the professionalization and sustainability of the Vaccine Independence Initiative (VII) and other financing tools.
• Expand VII and bridge financing tools to enhance operational timeliness and market dynamics.
• Identify financing opportunities and engage with internal and external partners.
• Originate transactions and negotiate terms with countries and suppliers.
• Develop risk management strategies and oversee capital base utilization.
• Manage a team responsible for transaction execution and risk management.
• Coordinate financial management of country subscriptions and ensure compliance with operational standards.
• Engage with donors and financing partners for resource mobilization.
