Senior LNG Trader (Energy, Remote)

Job summary

The Senior LNG Trader will be responsible for managing LNG and bio-LNG supplies for a fleet of dual-fuel LNG-powered vessels globally. This role involves trading physical LNG and Bio-LNG cargoes, developing and executing trading strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while optimizing supply chains.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in physical LNG trading; small-scale LNG experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of LNG bunkering operations and supply contracts.
• Knowledge of European energy markets and global LNG dynamics.
• Experience or interest in bio-LNG, methanol, or alternative fuels is advantageous.
• Analytical and detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment.
• Proven capability to work effectively across diverse cultures and regions.
• Fluent in English with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Trade and source physical LNG and bio-LNG cargoes globally (FOB, CIF, DAP/DES).
• Develop and execute LNG trading and hedging strategies aligned with fleet demand and risk appetite.
• Manage and cultivate relationships with key LNG and bio-LNG suppliers worldwide.
• Support the optimization of LNG products, logistics flows, and supply chains.
• Oversee contract negotiation, execution, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with colleagues across regions to identify and develop new commercial opportunities.
• Contribute to effective risk management, regulatory compliance, and reporting.
