Senior IT/OT Infrastructure Engineer (Pharmaceutical, Kalundborg)

Job summary

As a Senior IT/OT Infrastructure Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing secure and scalable infrastructure solutions for pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. You will work closely with a team of engineers at the intersection of IT, Operational Technology (OT), and Cybersecurity to support large-scale life science projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Automation, or a related field.
• 4-5 years of experience in IT/OT infrastructure engineering.
• Strong understanding of industrial networking and infrastructure architectures.
• Experience with virtualization and server platforms.
• Familiarity with project-based engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Design secure and scalable IT/OT infrastructure solutions.
• Engineer industrial networks, server environments, and virtualization platforms.
• Configure and integrate infrastructure with OT, automation, and manufacturing systems.
• Resolve complex infrastructure, integration, and cybersecurity challenges.
• Lead technical reviews, commissioning activities, and customer handovers.

Skills

• Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity and ISA-95 / IEC 62443 principles.
• Proficiency in Cisco networking technologies.
• Experience with VMware virtualization and Microsoft Server technologies, including Active Directory.
• Familiarity with OT platforms and automation environments, as well as manufacturing system integrations (MES, DCS, historians, SCADA).

Education

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Automation, or a related discipline.

Tools

• Cisco networking technologies, VMware, Microsoft Server technologies, Active Directory, OT platforms.
