Senior Insider & Data Risk Analyst (Remote)

Job summary

The Senior Insider & Data Risk Analyst will be responsible for managing insider risk investigations and enhancing the Insider Risk Management Program and Data Loss Prevention capabilities. This role involves triaging and investigating signals related to personnel, devices, identity, and data movement, while collaborating with various departments on sensitive cases.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in insider risk, DLP operations, digital forensics, or security investigations.
• Proven ability to lead investigations with discretion and integrity.
• Hands-on experience with DLP in SaaS and endpoint environments.
• Familiarity with data classification and governance principles.
• Strong written communication skills for drafting reports and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage insider risk investigations from initiation to closure, including documentation of findings.
• Develop and enhance the Insider Risk Management Program and associated workflows.
• Operate and optimize Data Loss Prevention tools across various environments.
• Investigate potential data misuse and policy violations, building detection mechanisms.
• Collaborate with HR, Legal, Compliance, and IT on sensitive investigations.
• Conduct risk assessments related to unauthorized AI tools and data exposure.
• Mentor team members on investigation processes and case management.

Skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with SIEM and log analysis tools (e.g., ELK, Splunk).
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as NIST CSF and ISO 27001.
• Familiarity with automation tools for alert triage and case orchestration.

Education

• Relevant academic background in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field is preferred.

Tools

• Experience with major cloud platforms and DLP tools.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL) for automation and data analysis.
