Senior Health & Safety Manager (Construction, Remote/Denmark)

Job summary

This role involves providing operational support to project teams in the Data Centre Health & Safety sector, ensuring compliance with health, safety, environment, quality, and wellbeing standards on site.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit strong health and safety leadership at the campus level.
• Support the Campus Project Director and Project Manager with H&S guidance.
• Act as the primary contact for H&S matters with clients and their representatives.
• Lead a team of 2-4 Campus-based H&S Managers.
• Assist in implementing the company's health and safety strategy.
• Conduct health checks, inspections, and risk reviews as per policy.
• Investigate accidents/incidents and communicate lessons learned.
• Monitor health and safety performance and prepare reports.
• Ensure adequate health and safety coverage and alert management of potential issues.
• Stay updated on legislation to provide competent H&S advice.
• Identify personal and team development needs and coach staff on H&S standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of experience in the construction industry and as a health and safety professional.
• CMIOSH and IEMA membership (or equivalent).
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient IT skills and ability to anticipate change.
• Experience in performance management and team collaboration.

Education

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
• Ideally a qualification in engineering or construction management.
