Job summary

The role involves ensuring accurate legal entity reporting and full tax compliance for Danish companies. Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or advisory, with required tax experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Local GAAP and US GAAP.
  • Experience with tax compliance and Danish tax regulations.
  • Experience coordinating statutory audits and collaborating with external auditors.
  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with SAP is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
  • High integrity and confidentiality.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Proactive and flexible approach, thriving in a dynamic multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare statutory financial statements and manage the overall statutory reporting process.
  • Coordinate and serve as the primary contact for external auditors and tax authorities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax compliance (CIT, VAT, withholding taxes, etc.).
  • Handle Effective Tax Rate (ETR) calculations and US tax reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and submit US Tax Packages in accordance with corporate requirements.
  • Review and monitor intercompany transactions and support transfer pricing documentation processes.
  • Assist with month-end closing and balance sheet reconciliation processes.
  • Collaborate with Shared Service Center teams to ensure high-quality accounting processes.
  • Act as the primary contact for treasury operations and banking relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls, own key controls, and support internal and external audits.
  • Maintain legal and corporate documentation for Danish companies.
  • Participate in finance projects, system improvements, and process optimization.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identify efficiency opportunities, and implement necessary corrective actions.

Skills

  • Strong self-awareness and a solid foundation in Danish accounting, Income Tax, and VAT.
  • Ability to work independently and take full ownership of processes.

Education

  • Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field.

Tools

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
