Senior Finance Manager (Bucharest)

Job summary

This role involves leading the establishment of a new finance organization in Romania for a rapidly growing green energy company. The position requires building and managing a finance team responsible for compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements, financial management, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of practical experience in Audit or Accounting and Finance
• At least 3 years of leadership experience
• Degree in Auditing, Accounting, or Finance
• Profound knowledge of TAX, VAT, and statutory requirements in Romania
• Excellent understanding of Local GAAP and familiarity with IFRS
• Proficient in Romanian and good command of English
• Experience with Business Central or similar ERP systems

Responsibilities

• Act as a business partner for the country manager
• Ensure accurate bookkeeping and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Provide financial analysis and insights to the leadership team
• Prepare and oversee budgets and forecasts
• Manage relationships with external advisors on TAX, VAT, and local GAAP reporting
• Optimize tasks and processes, participating in cross-organizational projects
• Support Purchase and Sales Due Diligence processes
• Recruit, develop, and manage finance team members
