Job summary

This position involves leading the Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) capabilities across multiple modalities, focusing on strategic leadership and operational delivery of nonclinical DMPK activities. The role emphasizes building and scaling DMPK capabilities, particularly at the Boston site, while ensuring integration with Copenhagen operations.

Qualifications

  • PhD in pharmaceutical sciences or a related field with extensive industry experience.
  • Significant experience addressing DMPK challenges for various modalities.
  • Proven leadership skills in building and mentoring high-performing scientific teams across different sites.
  • Experience in regulatory-facing DMPK content, including IND/CTA support.
  • Ability to set DMPK strategy aligned with project priorities while balancing scientific rigor and resource constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic oversight for DMPK/ADME strategy and execution across the portfolio.
  • Build and mentor DMPK capabilities at the Boston site, ensuring alignment with Copenhagen standards.
  • Oversee bioanalytical method development and nonclinical assay validation.
  • Lead in vitro ADME activities and ensure fit-for-purpose study design.
  • Integrate findings from in vivo pharmacokinetics and metabolite identification into a coherent understanding.
  • Deliver high-quality nonclinical PK summaries and integrated DMPK data packages.
  • Implement automation and AI-enabled approaches within DMPK workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional project teams and ensure effective oversight of external partners.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills to translate complex DMPK data into actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, multi-modal pipeline environment.
  • Experience with lab automation and AI-enabled workflows is advantageous.

Education

  • PhD in pharmaceutical sciences or a related field.

Tools

  • Familiarity with bioanalytical methods, nonclinical assay validation, and regulatory documentation processes.
