Job summary

This role focuses on driving commercial success within the offshore wind sector, managing the entire sales cycle from bid strategy development to contract finalization. The position emphasizes building strategic client relationships and enhancing the commercial team's performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher; maritime or engineering background preferred. Legal qualifications are a plus.
  • Over 10 years of relevant industry experience in sales or contracts, particularly in offshore wind or oil and gas.
  • Familiarity with BIMCO Supply Time and FIDIC-type contracts.
  • Knowledge of foundations T&I projects.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in an international business context.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and customize bid strategies in collaboration with the tender team.
  • Assist the tender manager with pricing and commercial terms during bid preparation.
  • Optimize contract clauses to align with tender interests and create value.
  • Manage contract risks and work with legal and contract management teams.
  • Lead negotiations with support from the tender team and contract manager until contracts are finalized.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Sales and/or CSO on global client relationships.
  • Engage with the procurement department on key subcontract selections and negotiations.
  • Develop commercial strategies and negotiation tools to enhance contract value and efficiency.

Skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to blend strategic, sales, finance, and interpersonal expertise to address diverse business needs.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field; maritime or engineering qualifications are advantageous.

Tools

  • Familiarity with contract management software and negotiation tools relevant to the offshore wind industry.
