Senior Business Controller (Copenhagen or Berlin)

Job summary

As a Senior Business Controller, you will operate in a dynamic international setting to enhance business performance and support strategic decision-making through effective financial insights. You will ensure the accuracy of topline reporting, develop KPI frameworks, and provide financial analysis to guide leadership decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in complex international environments, growth-stage companies, or high-performing finance teams.
• Strong background in business controlling, performance measurement, and financial analysis.
• Proven ability to collaborate with and support senior leadership across different countries.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex topics clearly.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of French, German, or Spanish is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Participate in internal topline reporting across various markets, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Create actionable insights regarding revenue, growth factors, and performance trends.
• Transform complex datasets into meaningful insights for decision-making.
• Collaborate with colleagues across multiple countries to foster a high-performing culture.
• Mentor and support controllers and managers to enhance business partnering skills.
• Drive improvements in controlling processes and reporting structures.
• Advocate for automation and scalable solutions in financial processes.
• Ensure the controlling function evolves with organizational growth.
• Own part of the month-end narrative, ensuring clear communication of results.

Skills

• Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Google Slides, Excel, and Google Sheets.
• Highly data literate, capable of connecting systems, KPIs, and business insights.
• Track record of influencing stakeholders and leading through collaboration.

Education

• Relevant degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.

Tools

• Familiarity with financial analysis and reporting tools is essential.
