Senior Accountant & Controller

Job summary

This position involves overseeing accounting, reporting, and financial controlling for a portfolio of Danish entities. The role requires a hands-on finance professional who ensures high financial quality, compliance, and governance while supporting local management and acting as a liaison with Group Finance and a Shared Service Center.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in accounting, controlling, or financial reporting
• Strong foundation in accounting principles
• Hands-on experience with month-end closing and balance sheet reconciliations
• Familiarity with VAT, statutory reporting, and audit processes

Responsibilities

• Own month-end and year-end closing processes
• Manage accruals, provisions, and other accounting assessments
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, provisions, and accruals
• Support audits, statutory reporting, and tax/VAT compliance
• Perform financial analyses and follow up on performance
• Provide decision support to Managing Directors
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and variance follow-up
• Act as key liaison to the Shared Service Center
• Monitor service delivery and drive process improvements
• Assist with complex accounting and financial governance matters
