Job summary

This role involves providing strategic technical partnerships to clients in the life sciences sector, focusing on bridging business objectives with technical execution. The position requires engaging with clients throughout the sales cycle, from prospecting to solution delivery, ensuring successful implementation and adoption of scientific data solutions.

Qualifications

  • Academic background in a scientific field or 5+ years of professional experience in Life Sciences
  • Over 5 years of experience in Senior Technical Architecture
  • Experience in commercial tech sales support
  • Familiarity with R&D IT or Data & Informatics

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact during the sales cycle
  • Manage lifecycle engagement and accelerate adoption from initial engagement to delivery
  • Conduct technical health assessments and risk management
  • Collaborate with sales, product management, and engineering teams for strategic planning
  • Support sales growth through enablement presentations and tailored demonstrations
  • Lead strategy for client expansions and manage escalated issues
  • Ensure timely project management and stakeholder coordination

Skills

  • Proficiency in Python and experience with cloud RDBMS (e.g., Snowflake) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Redshift, Databricks)
  • Understanding of data modeling, big data technologies (e.g., Spark), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Familiarity with analytics and BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and QlikView
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills

Education

  • Relevant academic qualifications in scientific disciplines or equivalent professional experience
