Revenue & Billing Analyst (Remote)

Job summary

This role involves managing financial operations throughout the customer lifecycle, focusing on billing, accounts receivable, collections, reconciliations, and revenue reporting within a fully remote Finance team.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer billing and accounts receivable or collections, with a focus on resolving complex issues.
• Background in subscription, SaaS, or recurring-revenue environments.
• Strong reconciliation skills and proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for financial data handling.
• Ability to enhance Finance processes through automation and improved workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, thriving in a remote work setting.
• Approximately four years of relevant experience preferred, with emphasis on ownership and impact.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete customer billing process, including invoicing and payment queries.
• Handle accounts receivable and collections, resolving disputes directly with customers.
• Collaborate with Customer Success on complex billing cases.
• Investigate and improve recurring billing and payment issues.
• Conduct reconciliations across various financial datasets.
• Analyze MRR/ARR movement reporting to provide insights on recurring revenue changes.
• Implement Finance automations to enhance efficiency in billing and reporting.
• Support changes to billing platforms and collaborate with technical teams on necessary adjustments.

Skills

• Experience with subscription billing platforms (e.g., Chargebee, Zuora) and collections platforms (e.g., Upflow).
• Knowledge of MRR, ARR, and subscription-revenue reporting.
• Familiarity with SQL or BI tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI).
• Experience in building automations using tools like Zapier or Python.

Education

• A professional accounting qualification is a plus.

• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, and familiarity with automation tools.
