About the role

Job summary

This position involves supporting advancements in robot policy learning and vision-language-action models for industrial manufacturing applications. The role is for a six-month period with potential for extension, primarily onsite at the workplace.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in robotics, computer science, or a closely related field (candidates in the final semester are encouraged to apply).
  • Strong knowledge in robot learning (imitation learning, reinforcement learning, vision-language-action models).
  • Proficiency in machine learning (deep neural networks) and robotics.
  • Programming skills in Python and C++, along with experience in ML libraries such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.

Responsibilities

  • Implement an industrial demonstrator showcasing AI robotics technologies in manufacturing.
  • Develop and implement AI algorithms for robot system control.
  • Apply AI technologies to industrial assembly cases.
  • Design and conduct lab experiments.
  • Assist in writing scientific publications.

Skills

  • Experience with control systems and computer vision is preferred.
  • Strong ability to work independently and communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
  • High self-motivation and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.

Education

  • A master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field is required.

Tools

  • Proficiency in programming languages (Python, C++) and familiarity with ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow) is essential.
