Job summary

This position involves working on a project aimed at developing an AI-driven robotic system for autonomous cardiac ultrasound scanning. The role is primarily onsite and offers the potential for a PhD fellowship.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Robotics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field (final semester students may apply).
  • Strong knowledge in robot control, deep learning, and medical imaging.
  • Experience with robotic simulation tools, medical applications, sensors, and scientific writing is preferred.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • High self-motivation and ability to work independently and in interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of a framework for controlling a robotic arm with a cardiac ultrasound probe.
  • Develop AI methods for cardiac view identification and pose estimation from ultrasound data.
  • Design a closed-loop robotic system for autonomous ultrasound scanning.
  • Assist in dataset acquisition and collaborate with clinical experts for solution validation.

Skills

  • Proficiency in robot control and deep learning techniques.
  • Familiarity with medical imaging technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Education

  • A master’s degree in a relevant field is required.

Tools

  • Experience with robotic simulation tools and medical imaging software is advantageous.
