Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Interest in microbiology and metabolomics.
• Previous experience with fungi is advantageous but not required.
• Familiarity with data science and coding (e.g., Python/R) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Optimize the Mycology Robotics setup for high-throughput strain onboarding and cultivation of filamentous fungi.
• Automate and simplify fungal identification to the species level.
• Develop assays for characterizing fungal physiology and metabolism.
• Conduct metabolite analysis and library construction.
• Contribute to the development of AI tools for predicting strain performance based on traits.
