Regional Business Controller

Job summary

This role involves overseeing financial operations across offices in Asia, Oceania, the Middle East, and Africa for a global freight forwarding company. The Regional Business Controller will provide strategic financial insights, optimize processes, and manage performance while fostering relationships with key stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Over five years of experience in business controlling, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), management accounting, or a similar finance role.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, KPI management, performance analysis, and business partnering.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable recommendations.
• Experience working with operational and senior stakeholders in an international or multi-country context.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Develop financial reporting frameworks and KPIs to provide insights into business performance.
• Evaluate and optimize finance and operational processes to enhance productivity.
• Monitor KPIs and conduct performance reviews, recommending corrective actions as needed.
• Build relationships with country and office managers, serving as a financial advisor.
• Facilitate collaboration between operations and finance departments to align goals.
