Job summary

An experienced Python Developer is sought to join a Digital Engineering team, focusing on delivering and maintaining data integration and analytics solutions for a major public sector client in Denmark. The role involves working on-site in Lyngby initially, with opportunities for future assignments across Copenhagen.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python development.
• Commercial experience with PySpark and distributed data processing.
• Familiarity with AWS Glue and the broader AWS ecosystem.
• Proficient in SQL, preferably Athena SQL.
• Knowledge of ETL development and data engineering best practices.
• Experience with Git and modern version control workflows.
• Understanding of unit testing and automated quality assurance.
• Ability to produce technical documentation and follow structured development processes.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methods and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team leads and analysts to ensure clarity in Jira issues for efficient delivery.
• Participate in backlog refinement and translate business requirements into technical designs.
• Validate and document technical solution designs with domain architects.
• Develop and optimize PySpark code, AWS Glue jobs, and Athena SQL scripts.
• Promote best practices for distributed data processing within the team.
• Implement unit tests and data validation solutions, including logging and monitoring.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Conduct developer testing and support the release process.
• Collaborate with infrastructure specialists on AWS platform maintenance.
• Share knowledge and ensure effective handover of technical information.

Education
