Project Controls Manager (Construction, Remote)

Job summary

This role involves overseeing all Project Controls for a major Data Center project, establishing processes, templates, and tools, and monitoring performance against cost and schedule baselines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project controls coordination across all project lifecycle phases, particularly in Data Center projects.
• Proven ability to analyze data and recommend corrective actions based on findings.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office and Primavera P6.
• Strong commitment to service excellence and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written English skills; local language proficiency is a plus.
• Flexibility for travel as projects may be located away from home office.

Responsibilities

• Identify trends and root causes of deviations from project baselines and recommend actions to enhance client value.
• Lead evaluations of project time, cost, and quality targets, applying necessary governance controls.
• Collaborate with remote cost managers to establish a market-tested cost baseline.
• Guide general contractors to ensure alignment with schedules and cash flow parameters.
• Serve as the primary contact for clients, addressing delivery and commercial issues while preparing detailed reports on project metrics.
• Control costs through knowledge of estimating, funding stages, and procurement principles.
• Create and manage cost reports, summarizing financials in executive dashboards.
• Lead change management processes and coordinate planning sessions with clients and vendors.
• Ensure timely updates of the master schedule by holding vendors accountable for schedule reporting.
