Product Lifecycle Management Lead

Job summary

The role involves leading the development of a comprehensive Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) setup to enhance integration within engineering and manufacturing processes. The PLM Lead will create structures, governance, and processes to support product data management across the organization.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in PLM, PDM, product data, or configuration management within an industrial manufacturing or engineering context.
• Demonstrated ability to develop or enhance PLM/PDM systems, processes, or data structures.
• Strong understanding of product master data, BOM structures, and lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with manufacturing and quality processes and their relationship with engineering data.
• Experience in bridging engineering, manufacturing, and business systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop the global PLM strategy, roadmap, and system architecture.
• Evaluate and implement suitable PLM/PDM capabilities for engineering and manufacturing.
• Establish governance for product master data, including BOM structures and documentation standards.
• Create reliable data flows between Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SharePoint, and engineering tools.
• Develop structured change and configuration management with traceability and revision control.
• Connect Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and IT around common data principles.
• Enhance data quality and support digitalization and automation throughout the product lifecycle.
• Investigate the use of emerging technologies, including AI tools, to improve processes.

• Capacity to align stakeholders with varying priorities and technical perspectives.

Education

• A background in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field is preferred, though practical experience is highly valued.

Tools

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and SharePoint is advantageous.
