Job summary

The role involves managing procurement processes for software licenses and office hardware in a rapidly growing organization. The primary focus is on auditing and optimizing software spend, negotiating contracts, and establishing effective vendor management practices.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in procurement and vendor management, particularly with SaaS and software licensing.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve cost savings through effective negotiation and contract management.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing across various departments.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, less-structured environment and build processes from scratch.

Responsibilities

  • Audit and map current software license expenditures, identifying redundant licenses.
  • Clean up the software portfolio by eliminating unnecessary tools and adjusting seat counts.
  • Create and maintain a renewals calendar to manage contract reviews.
  • Negotiate renewals and new contracts to optimize costs and terms.
  • Manage the procurement of office hardware, including laptops and AV equipment.
  • Lead negotiations on vendor contracts and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance, and department heads to align procurement with business needs.

Skills

  • Strong negotiation skills with a commercial mindset.
  • Ability to analyze contracts and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.

Education

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in procurement or a related field.

Tools

  • Familiarity with software asset management (SAM) tools or spend-management platforms is a plus.
