About the role

Job summary

The role involves working closely with Account Executives to secure enterprise deals in the EV charging sector. The Presales Solution Engineer will lead technical discussions and demonstrations, ensuring alignment with customer needs and integration requirements.

Qualifications

  • 4–7 years of experience in a Presales Solution Engineering role at a B2B SaaS company, preferably with API-first products.
  • Proven track record of managing complex enterprise deals from initial contact to contract signing.
  • Technical expertise in REST APIs, OCPP, OCPI, payment integrations, and ERP patterns.
  • Familiarity with EV charging, energy, fleet, or mobility is advantageous.
  • Strong presentation skills, capable of engaging senior audiences.
  • Proficiency in English and at least one additional European language.
  • Experience with AI tools to enhance work efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical discovery sessions to understand customer systems and requirements.
  • Design and present reference architectures tailored to customer needs.
  • Lead product demonstrations that resonate with customer workflows.
  • Manage responses to RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires.
  • Execute pilots and proof of concepts to facilitate deal progression.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives on pricing and deal structure.
  • Transition projects to Solution Architects post-signature with comprehensive context.
  • Provide structured feedback to Product and Engineering teams.

Skills

  • Strong technical depth in relevant areas of integration and APIs.
  • Excellent storytelling and presentation abilities.
  • Comfortable engaging with both technical and senior customer stakeholders.

Education

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in a technical field preferred.

Tools

  • Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Notion AI to streamline processes.
