Qualifications

  • PhD degree in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, or a related discipline.
  • Expertise in life cycle impact assessment, material flow analysis, or similar areas, particularly concerning natural resources.
  • Strong mathematical and programming skills are advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and a strong motivation for research are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a framework and computing indicators for assessing the impacts of metal resources, focusing on metal dissipation in the technosphere.
  • Link developed indicators to current and emerging boundaries for metal resource utilization.
  • Create inventory procedures for metals in alignment with the developed indicators.
  • Engage in related tasks and work packages within an international research project.
  • Participate in teaching activities, including supervising MSc and co-supervising PhD student projects.

Education

  • A formal qualification of a PhD degree (or equivalent) is required.

Tools

  • Familiarity with life cycle assessment software and programming tools is beneficial.
