Job summary

This position is for a postdoctoral researcher focused on investigating the molecular mechanisms of virus-induced childhood asthma using advanced human airway cell models. The role aims to contribute to the development of precision medicine strategies for severe asthma within a collaborative research environment.

Qualifications

  • PhD degree (or equivalent) in molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, biomedical sciences, or a closely related field.
  • Documented hands-on experience with primary airway cell models.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Solid publication record relative to career stage.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain primary human airway epithelial cell cultures.
  • Conduct experimental work using air–liquid interface (ALI) models.
  • Apply molecular techniques, including siRNA-mediated gene silencing.
  • Utilize CRISPR–Cas9 genome editing to investigate gene function.
  • Generate data, perform statistical analysis, and interpret results.
  • Collaborate with internal and external academic partners.
  • Contribute to scientific publications and disseminate research findings.

Skills

  • Expertise in molecular biology and cell culture techniques.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills.

Education

  • PhD in a relevant field such as molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, or biomedical sciences.
