Job summary

A postdoctoral position is available focusing on the experimental studies of phase behavior in ABC-miktoarm star block copolymers using Grazing-Incidence Small-Angle X-ray Scattering (GISAXS). The role involves conducting structural studies of thin films and analyzing the influence of polymer block chemistry on self-organization behavior.

Qualifications

  • PhD degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Experience with x-ray (SAXS, GISAXS) and/or neutron scattering (SANS, GISANS).
  • Proficiency in SAXS and/or GISAXS data analysis.
  • Familiarity with image analysis techniques.
  • Coding skills in languages such as Python or C, and experience with high-performance computing.
  • Background in polymer physics, block copolymer chemistry, or experimental soft matter self-assembly studies.
  • Strong collaborative skills and ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct GISAXS experiments both ex-situ and in-situ during solvent vapor annealing.
  • Develop GISAXS data analysis methods and analyze experimental data.
  • Prepare and characterize thin films using techniques like spin coating and AFM.
  • Collaborate with both experimentalists and theorists on the project.
  • Teach and supervise undergraduate and graduate students.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education
