Job summary

This position involves integrating advanced imaging technologies and materials science to enhance concrete production processes. The role focuses on utilizing hyperspectral imaging to analyze the properties of concrete materials at various stages.

Qualifications

  • PhD degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in concrete technology and characterization.
  • Knowledge of image processing and computer vision.
  • Familiarity with in-line process monitoring is advantageous.
  • Understanding of deep learning-based image analysis is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English.

Responsibilities

  • Characterize concrete and its components using advanced techniques, including rheological assessments.
  • Acquire and analyze hyperspectral images of concrete and raw materials.
  • Develop a comprehensive database of hyperspectral images with validated labels.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, particularly on image analysis projects.
  • Publish research findings in top-tier journals and present at conferences.
  • Engage in teaching and supervising PhD and MSc student projects as appropriate.
