About the role

Job summary

A postdoctoral researcher is sought to enhance airborne gravimetry initiatives, focusing on quantum technologies and contributing to the EU Horizon project EQUIP-G, which aims to foster the European quantum gravimetry community.

Qualifications

  • PhD degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated research experience.
  • Ability to participate in international fieldwork and dissemination activities.
  • Experience in gravity field modeling (preferred).
  • Programming skills (preferred).
  • Fieldwork experience (preferred).
  • GNSS processing knowledge (preferred).
  • Navigation and sensor fusion expertise (preferred).
  • Familiarity with quantum gravimetry (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Engage significantly in the EQUIP-G project, focusing on community building, workshop organization, and data management.
  • Manage procurement and deployment of commercial quantum gravity sensors, with planned field campaigns for 2028.
  • Develop processing methodologies and capabilities for airborne gravimetry, emphasizing quantum technologies.
  • Contribute to ongoing research projects, particularly collaborations with international partners.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in programming and data analysis.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Education

  • A PhD degree in a relevant discipline is required.

Tools

  • Experience with quantum gravity sensors and GNSS technology is advantageous.
