Portfolio Manager (Freelance, Remote)

Job summary

This role involves participating in project-based opportunities focused on testing and improving AI systems for leading tech companies. Contributors will engage in various tasks related to portfolio management and financial analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in finance, investment, accounting, or financial services.
• Recent experience in advisory and management roles is preferred.
• Knowledge of portfolio performance analysis, tax-lot accounting, wash-sale rules, and familiarity with Investment Policy Statements.
• Strong written English proficiency (C1+).

Compensation

• Design and evaluate Quarterly Business Review scenarios, including performance benchmarks and fund document changes.
• Create test cases for rebalancing and tax-loss harvesting, considering various tax implications.
• Develop suitability check cases assessing risk tolerance and investment guidelines.
• Conduct fee-stack analysis comparing portfolio expenses and advisory fees against benchmarks.
• Document test cases with verified calculations and policy citations.
• Estimated workload of 10–20 hours per week during active project phases.
• Earnings of up to $60 per hour, depending on experience and contribution level.
