The role involves developing novel concepts to enhance the performance, cost, and robustness of solid oxide electrolysis technology.

Qualifications

  • A two-year master's degree (120 ECTS points) or equivalent in materials science, chemical engineering, energy engineering, physics, or a related field.
  • Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary setting.
  • Experimental experience in materials characterization.
  • Creativity and scientific curiosity with a willingness to challenge existing solutions.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Design, fabricate, and characterize innovative solid oxide electrolysis cells.
  • Conduct electrochemical performance and degradation tests, analyzing results.
  • Collaborate with industrial partners to ensure manufacturability and scalability of solutions.
  • Document findings in scientific papers, reports, and presentations.

Skills

  • Knowledge in inorganic chemistry, electrochemistry, or materials engineering/synthesis.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Education

  • A master's degree in a relevant field is required.

Tools

  • Familiarity with electrochemical testing equipment and ceramic processing techniques is beneficial.
