About the role

Job summary

This PhD position focuses on terrestrial gravimetry and quantum technology, involving field deployment in Denmark and the Arctic. The role is part of the Geodesy and Earth Observation division, which operates an A10 absolute gravimeter and collaborates with the Agency for Climate Data.

Qualifications

  • A two-year master's degree (120 ECTS points) or equivalent academic level.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the EU-Horizon project EQUIP-G, promoting a European community on quantum gravimetry.
  • Engage in organized measurement workshops and international events.
  • Conduct field campaigns in Ilulissat, Greenland, to monitor climate changes.
  • Collaborate with the Climate Data Agency on maintaining national geodetic networks.
  • Receive training in operating the A10 instrument and participate in field activities.

Skills

  • Strong background in geodesy or related fields.
  • Experience with quantum technology is advantageous.

Education

  • A master's degree in a relevant field is required.

Tools
