Job summary

This position involves research in large-scale energy storage technologies, focusing on the development of advanced Carnot Battery technology through dynamic modeling and techno-economic analysis. The role is part of a collaborative project involving multiple universities and companies across Europe.

Qualifications

  • A two-year master's degree (120 ECTS points) or equivalent academic level.
  • Must not have resided in Denmark for more than 12 months in the last 36 months prior to recruitment.

Responsibilities

  • Design energy storage concepts with detailed technical specifications and operational setpoints.
  • Develop a multiobjective optimization framework to achieve optimal sizing and interactions for the storage design and other thermo-mechanical energy systems.
  • Conduct dynamic modeling to analyze system resilience and effectiveness during various operational states.
  • Perform techno-economic assessments and benchmark against competing technologies.

Skills

  • Proficiency in modeling tools such as Matlab, Dymola, and EES.
  • Strong analytical skills for optimization and economic assessment.

Education

  • A master's degree in a relevant field is required.
