About the role

Job summary

This role involves expanding renewable and corporate energy origination activities across Southern Europe, particularly in Italy and Spain, during a maternity cover period. The position focuses on front-office deal origination, market intelligence, and relationship management to facilitate the energy transition in the region.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in energy commodities, flexible assets, or structured origination, ideally within power markets and with knowledge of Southern European market dynamics.
  • Proven ability to structure, negotiate, and finalize complex energy transactions or provide consultative selling of long-term, capital-intensive solutions.
  • Strong understanding of the energy sector, including market regulations, renewable and storage assets, and route-to-market strategies.
  • Familiarity with Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and related products, along with a basic understanding of project finance and trading agreements.
  • Proficient in English and preferably one Southern European language, with experience in managing a commercial pipeline using CRM tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a qualified deal pipeline across Southern Europe, including generator PPAs, corporate supply agreements, and energy commodity contracts.
  • Originate, prioritize, and negotiate energy contracts with renewable generators and corporate consumers to enhance value.
  • Oversee the renewal and expansion of the Route-to-Market portfolio for the Italian and Spanish markets, collaborating with various teams.
  • Serve as the primary commercial contact for clients in Southern Europe, managing contract renewals and ongoing communications.
  • Represent the organization at industry events and maintain relationships with developers, investors, and utilities.
