Network Infrastructure Owner's Representative (Data Centers, Remote)

Job summary

The role focuses on ensuring adherence to the Owner's standards and technical guidance during the execution of critical network infrastructure for new hyperscale data center builds. This position serves as the primary liaison between the Owner's team and the construction teams, facilitating coordination and communication to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in telecommunications
• 5 years of experience in data center construction or fit-out
• Experience working with developers or end users

Responsibilities

• Conduct contractor project orientation, onboarding, and training
• Perform quality assurance and weekly site inspections with construction teams
• Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety standards
• Implement quality assurance and quality control checklists
• Review quality documentation and inspection/test plans
• Manage telecom package schedules and ensure completion of checklist items
• Produce progress reports for project management and senior management teams
• Address changes in project scope, including AI/ML deployments
• Manage risks and issues related to schedule and quality
• Coordinate logistics for material deliveries and installation
• Facilitate sign-off of installations with partner teams
• Participate in progress meetings and resolve ongoing issues
• Provide feedback to design teams based on site experiences
• Standardize processes across regions where possible

Skills

• Strong understanding of project management and scheduling (P6)
• Familiarity with building information modeling (BIM)
• Proficient in project milestone tracking and execution systems
• Experience with document management systems

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in telecommunications or construction management
