Job summary

The IT System Consultant will support the commercial business processes by ensuring reliable systems and high-quality data. This role involves translating business needs into operational solutions and acting as a liaison between business and IT to enhance systems and processes.

Qualifications

• Experience as a System Consultant, Application Specialist, or similar role in a commercial IT environment.
• Relevant educational background such as a Datamatiker degree, Computer Science degree, or a Bachelor's in IT Architecture or Software Development.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into clear, functional, and testable requirements.
• Analyze and document commercial business processes, system dependencies, and data flows.
• Maintain and ensure the quality of master data and catalogue data.
• Identify opportunities for improving data management processes and governance.
• Support solution design, testing, and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to resolve issues.
• Provide 2nd-level support for commercial applications.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes.

Skills

• Strong understanding of end-to-end commercial business processes.
• Experience with master data, catalogue data, and data quality.
• Good understanding of integrations and data flows.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across business and IT.

Education

• Relevant degree in IT or related field.

Tools

• Experience with order management systems, integrations, 3D drawing tools, CRM, or sales systems is advantageous.
