Job summary

An internship opportunity is available in the Humanitarian Diplomacy and Movement Engagement Team, focusing on international humanitarian policy and advocacy. The role involves supporting various humanitarian policy initiatives in a dynamic environment, providing hands-on experience in the field.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant university program such as political science, social sciences, law, development studies, or international relations.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • Demonstrated interest in humanitarian affairs and global engagement.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Detail-oriented, well-structured, and flexible, with the capability to work independently.
  • Passionate about humanitarian work and the values of the Red Cross.
  • Familiarity with the Red Cross Movement, the UN, particularly the Security Council, and International Humanitarian Law is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the UN Security Council agenda, particularly in light of Denmark's current membership.
  • Support engagement in Arctic Council processes.
  • Contribute to the development of analyses, policy briefs, background notes, and advocacy materials.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating events and meetings, including logistics, technical setup, note-taking, and presentation preparation.

Education

  • Enrollment in a relevant university program is required.

Tools

  • Proficiency in standard office software and communication tools is expected.
